| The longest running drama ever, Guiding
Light has entertained radio and television fans for over
60 years. Guiding Light takes place in the fictional
Midwestern town of Springfield. This drama focuses on the
lives of complex characters and unforgettable families
like the Bauers, Spauldings, Lewises, Chamberlains,
Reardons, Marlers, Coopers, and Thorpes.
In its early years the stories centered on the middle
class Bauer family, but later the wealthy Spauldings,
Chamberlains, and Lewises, along with the working class
Reardons and others, took their own places of prominence,
though the Bauers remained the heart of the show.

In 1998, Joshua Lewis believe that he had lost his soul
mate Reva Shayne forever when Annie drugged Reva and took
her up in a plane, only to parachute out of the plane with
the pilot, leaving Reva in a plane all tied up with no
pilot and no way to free herself. When Josh arrived in
Florida, he searched desperately for Reva until the pilot
who jumped with Annie showed up and verified his story.
Josh realized that it was over.
Josh returned home, devastated. Consumed by grief, Dr.
Michael Burke found out that Reva had her eggs harvested,
and told Josh that he had a way for him to have his wife
back. A drunken and desperate Josh agreed to allow Michael
to clone of his beloved wife! Once sober Josh changed his
mind but it was to late, Michael had a brand new baby,
"Reva Shane". The clone was given a rapid aging
serum so that she could grow up to Reva's age quickly and
return to being Josh's wife, and Marah and Shayne's
mother.
Young “Reva” grows more scared and confused,
demands to know what’s happening to her. Josh breaks
down, telling Michael that the clone will never be Reva
and if they try to make her, her life will be a lie.
"Reva” overhears and runs away.
